Last weekend I showed you guys a before and after picture of the way I edit my IG pictures and I got so many DM’s asking what apps I use. It took me a while to figure out the right combination of apps that work for me, so I decided to share them with you and hopefully it’ll help you guys too.
Facetune is the app that almost all beauty gurus use to edit their makeup pictures. I use it to bring out the details in my accessories, whiten the background or smooth out any wrinkles in my clothes. I learned that with this app a little goes a long way, try to not over do it, it will start to look really fake really fast.
PicTapGo is my go to app when I need to fix the lighting my pictures. Whenever the sun is too bright or not bright enough I use this to balance it by playing with the brightness, contrast, shadows, and warm/cool tones.
VSCO has got to be the most popular app that people use for their photos. They have so many filters to choose from, my favorites are A4, A5, A6, C1, HB1, and HB2. Once you find the filter you can lower the intensity of it so that its not too much. Like Facetune, a little goes a long way.
This is my last step before posting a picture. Post Vu lets you plan your future post by uploading/moving your pictures around to make sure your feed flows and that all your pictures match before you make them go live on Instagram.
I use a combination of all these apps before uploading my photos. Sometimes I don’t have to use them all but its nice to have options! Whether I have people take the picture on my camera or with my Cannon T5, these apps help clean up my pictures and make them pop. I hope you guys find this useful and if you have any questions, let me know in the comments!
Have a great weekend! – Sarah 😜
